The Emmy Awards ceremony is taking place this evening at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with Mariska Hargitay hosting. The event is being broadcast live on NBC at 8 p.m. Eastern and is available to stream on Peacock.
Hargitay is already an Emmy winner this year, for her documentary special “My Mom Jayne.” The trophy was handed out alongside several other awards at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month, including a posthumous win for Rob Reiner, for his guest role in “The Bear.”
Season 2 of the medical drama “The Pitt” has 25 nominations for its second season, the most of any show this year. In comedy, “Hacks” picked up 24 nods for its final season. The new shows “Pluribus,” “Widow’s Bay,” “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” and “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” are among those nominated in the best series categories.
