Like father, like son. Cillian Murphy’s younger son, Aran, is following in his father’s career footsteps — the budding actor has scored a role on an upcoming HBO series, “Youth.”
However, it’s not just his talent that iis attracting attention. The 19-year-old is stunning fans with his striking physical resemblance to his dad, as well.

On Friday, Aran walked the red carpet in London for the new show, with photos of the event going viral on social media. Commenters raved about how much he looked like the award-winning “Oppenheimer” and “Peaky Blinders” star, calling the young man a “copy and paste”and a “cloned” version of his famous parent. “That’s his twin,” one commenter noted.
“No DNA test needed,” quipped another.

Aran has shown interest in acting from a young age, having starred in a production of the stage show “Hamnet” at age 11. His film debut was 2022’s “Lola,” and in 2024 he was cast in “Klara and the Sun,” Taika Waititi‘s feature adaptation of the New York Times bestseller by Kazuo Ishiguro, alongside Amy Adams and Jenna Ortega.
Last year, he was brought on the cast of HBO and Sky Televison’s “WAR,” which also features Sienna Miller and Dominic West. Cillian, 50, shares Aran and older brother Malachy, 20, with wife Yvonne McGuinness, whom he’s been married to since 2004. The couple have prioritized giving their sons a normal life outside of the spotlight, raising them away from Hollywood.

While both kids were born in London, the family moved to Dublin in 2015 to be close to Cillian’s Irish roots and family.
“They’re really good boys. We have a laugh,” Cillian told Rolling Stone UK in 2023 of his sons. “We don’t do ‘Dad’s Movie Night’, but they like some of my films. They say all my films are really intense.”
