Jaclyn Smith details drug-fueled ‘Charlie’s Angels’ set — and divulges which co-star had a bad temper

Jaclyn Smith called out her “Charlie’s Angels” co-star Kate Jackson for allegedly having a “temper” in her new memoir.

In “I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie,” out Tuesday, Smith dubbed Jackson a “complex person” whose anger “could get the best of her.”

The 80-year-old described a time Jackson, who was “savvy and skilled, and at times downright silly,” once “flew into a fury over some slight” on set of the series, which ran from 1976 to 1981.

“She climbed behind the wheel of her motor home, with me by her side, and just drove it in circles around the lot, over and over,” Smith wrote. “It was funny at first, but the teamsters were not happy with us.”

“The District” alum went on to recall a time Jackson, 77, was annoyed about herself, Smith, and the third original Angel, Farrah Fawcett, being asked to give up their lunch break for a photoshoot.

Jackson allegedly “locked” thee three of them in her trailer, leaving the crew to frantically search for tools to get them out.

She also recalled Jackson “shout[ing] every four-letter word in the book (including some [she’d] never heard before) at the top of her lungs” to prep for scenes.

“[She’d let out] just a long, bellowed string of expletives that made even the cameramen and lighting guys blush,” Smith wrote.

She noted that Jackson allegedly felt “a lot of resentment” toward the iconic show.

Jackson, according to Smith, helped come up with the title and the idea that the “Angels” never actually met their boss but took direction from him via a speakerphone — and “she felt that she was owed both an acknowledgment and a piece of the profit as a creator.”

However, Smith wrote that “the producers disagreed.”

Additionally, Jackson did not always get along with newcomer Cheryl Ladd, who replaced Fawcett after the first season, per Smith.

“It was difficult feeling caught between Kate and Cheryl,” she explained to readers. “Kate never fully accepted Cheryl. Maybe it was because she missed Farrah, and in Kate’s mind no one could take her place.”

Jackson’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Elsewhere in her memoir, Smith described the on-set dynamic changing in later years.

“People were doing drugs, in particular, cocaine … with some people using it constantly,” Smith remembered. “The more drug use I saw on set, the more time I spent in my motor home. I was in there a lot by the end of the series.”

Smith also made headlines Tuesday for name-dropping Tanya Roberts in the book as the castmate who propositioned her for a threesomewith husband Barry Roberts.

Although Smith declined, she praised Tanya’s “honesty about her sexuality” as “brave and self-aware,”
