Piers Morgan grilled Nick Fuentes on his racist, antisemitic and misogynistic views during a heated interview Monday — including an angry exchange about the white nationalist’s claim that Adolf Hitler was “f—king cool.”
The highly anticipated Piers Morgan Uncensored interview saw Morgan challenging Fuentes, 27, on his most controversial views, with the British broadcaster bringing up a clip of Fuentes once boasting that the leader of the Nazi regime was worthy of praise.
Morgan was notably much tougher on Fuentes than former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who garnered backlash over his soft-ball interview of the white nationalist.
When Morgan asked him if he regretted making the statement, Fuentes said he didn’t — and he mocked “boomers” and the descendants of Holocaust victims for getting offended over his praise of the genocidal leader.
“He was cool,” Fuentes said. “I’m tired of pretending he’s not…The thing with my generation is that we’re done with the pearl clutching.”
Fuentes, who has repeatedly praised Hitler and claimed the Holocaust that killed more than 6 million Jews never happened, went on to claim that Morgan’s hatred of Hitler and contempt over the genocide of the Jewish people was overblown.
“What a crock of s—t!” Morgan fired back, suggesting that Fuentes was only saying such controversial things to make money.
Along with praising Hitler, Fuentes also called disgraced rapper and antisemitic Kanye West one of his “heroes” despite the white nationalist claiming he’s not an antisemite himself.
Fuentes did, however, proudly call himself a racist during his interview with Morgan as he preached his idea that white people should actively avoid black people while defending his belief that at least 20% of the African American population should be imprisoned.
While Fuentes was happy to be labeled a racist, he became visibly upset when Morgan suggested that his father had taught him to be racist.
“There was an episode of your podcast where you talked about your father, Bill Fuentes, and how he wouldn’t take the family, including you, to certain restaurants because he believed they were associated with African-Americans,” Morgan said, quoting Fuentes directly.
“Well, I would say it’s a new low. I’ve been attacked for being a racist many times, but to attack my father? To attack my parents based on anecdotes…” Fuentes responded.
“Hang on, it’s your anecdote!” Morgan interjected.
“Yeah, but he’s not here to defend himself,” Fuentes said.
“You are,” Morgan said. “You told the story.”
Fuentes claimed he made the anecdote of his father in “jest,” and insisted that his parents are not racist.
The interview eventually moved on to Fuentes’ views on women, with the podcaster claiming he doesn’t believe women should have equal rights to men and insisted that the Catholic Church would agree that women shouldn’t have a right to vote.
Morgan, a Catholic, disagreed with the views and slammed Fuentes for holding such a backwards idea, noting that the white nationalist’s entire worldview on women was the textbook definition of misogyny.
“I think that when a 27 year old guy who has never gotten laid, never had a meaningful relationship with a woman, says women aren’t allowed to vote, they should stay at home, that all they do is fantasize about getting raped and beaten up, that’s what they want, that they’re annoying, that they get fat, that they get ugly — That’s a misogynist,” Morgan summed up.
Throughout the interview, Fuentes would often laugh and make fun of Morgan and his family for expressing sympathy to the people Fuentes was attacking or for getting angry at his hateful views.
