Emily Compagno bid an emotional farewell to “Outnumbered” viewers Friday after nearly six years as a co-host as she prepares to take a permanent seat on Fox News’ “The Five.”
Compagno thanked viewers and her colleagues during her final signoff from the daytime panel show, calling her stint an “extraordinary privilege.”
“And now everyone watching, after almost six years, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you at home who trusted me to help deliver and analyze the news every day at noon ET,” Compagno said.
She also paid tribute to the people behind the program, singling out executive producer Trina Thompson and the show’s crew.
“And to the incredible crew on this stage, my executive producer Trina Thompson, and to our entire ‘Outnumbered’ team, whose dedication, professionalism, and sheer talent are the reason for this show’s excellence day in and day out,” Compagno said.
“It has been an extraordinary privilege and an honor to serve as a co-host of ‘Outnumbered’,” she added before signing off with a nod to her new time slot: “From now on, see you at 5:00.”
Compagno is moving to “The Five” beginning Tuesday, where she will join Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino and Jesse Watters as a full-time co-host. Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov rotate in the show’s liberal seat.
Fox announced the move last month, with Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott praising Compagno as a “standout” whose “energy and talent” had impressed across the network.
The promotion leaves an opening on “Outnumbered.”

Fox said when it announced Compagno’s move that network personalities would rotate through her seat until a permanent successor is chosen.
Compagno joined Fox News as a contributor in 2018 and became a permanent “Outnumbered” co-host in 2021.
Her new assignment puts her on a program that averaged 3.6 million viewers during the second quarter of 2026, according to Nielsen figures.
The network said “The Five” has ranked as cable news’ highest-rated show for 19 consecutive quarters.
When her promotion was announced, Compagno said getting an official seat on a program she had long admired was an “incredible privilege.”
“I am grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started,” she said.
