As Labor Day weekend arrives, a number of exhibits, including “State Fairs” at the Renwick Gallery and “Blacklisted” at the Capital Jewish Museum, are departing D.C. This weekend brings outdoor festivals, movies and dance parties, as well as birthday celebrations for Beyoncé — including bingo, trivia and dancing all night. The D.C. State Fair lets locals show off talents, such as baked goods and needlepoint. Hundreds of artists are bringing their work to Glen Echo Park, while the Smithsonian Institution is hosting a three-day celebration of circus arts. There’s a beer festival in Fairfax, a coffee-meets-matcha collab downtown, and a pop-up with the “best U.S. hotel bar” stopping off in Dupont Circle.
