‘The Howard Stern Show’ to Start Streaming on HBO Max in September

A new season of “The Howard Stern Show” begins on September 14 and, a few days later, the series will hit streaming for the first time ever. Beginning September 17, new episodes of “The Howard Stern Show” will be available weekly on HBO Max.

“As the ‘King of All Media,’ I am honored to bring my SiriusXM show to HBO Max, and through HBO Max to worldwide distribution,” Stern said in a statement. “For years, my SiriusXM show has offered only brief video peeks.”

“HBO convinced me to pull back the curtain and let the world watch; the amazing celebrities and musicians who drop by, our staff antics, and my conversations with Robin. Bringing my latest SiriusXM shows to HBO Max’s millions of viewers, every week, is a career highlight, and I’m thrilled to be joining the ranks of such prestigious television.”

The first episode will debut on the streamer on September 17, followed by subsequent episodes every Thursday at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET. According to HBO, there will also be “periodic extras” with each episode.

“Howard Stern has always been in a category of his own with an unmistakable, unique take on the world,” Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and HBO Max Content, said in a statement of his own. “Howard has changed radio and media at large with his ability to draw the most out of his guests and cultivate a following like no other.”

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Howard to HBO Max and to partner with SiriusXM to bring THE HOWARD STERN SHOW to the platform.”

Listeners will still be able to catch new episodes of the show on SiriusXM every Monday, should they want to hear his interviews sooner.
