Jenna Bush Hager, Sheinelle Jones horrified after cameraman suffers scary accident live on ‘Today’

Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones pulled back the curtain and let viewers into a behind-the-scenes mishap on the “Today” show Friday.

The duo was introducing their segment “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle” when a sound could be heard in the background. The camera appeared to wobble before it cut to another angle.

Jones, 48, giggled as Bush Hager, 44, asked, “Are you okay over there?”

An unnamed man called out that he was okay, as Jones confessed that she “was going to try to just [keep going].”

“We should keep going! [But] we got to show what just happened. Don’t take us off. Keep us on the air.” Bush Hager added, before explaining that “unfortunately” a crew member had tripped out of shot.

“He was walking backwards. This is the hazard of the job. And he ran into that chair,” she explained as the camera panned to an overturned stool.

“Now, the good news is, if you go back, I think our shot was pretty steady,” she noted.

The hosts, alongside the rest of the crew, clapped for the cameraman as he flashed up on screen.

“You almost fell backwards, and yet you kept that camera [still],” Bush Hager praised him, as Jones added: “No one missed a beat. But it makes me realize that … am I missing a chip? Because we were going to keep this show going.”

Bush Hager shared that the cameraman was “fine,” and explained that she “just wanted to make sure he didn’t injure himself.”

“Meanwhile, I’m like, ‘Get up! Let’s go!’ No, I’m just kidding,” Jones said self-deprecatingly.

“But anyway, it just shows you how hard our crew works around here every single day,” Bush Hager added. “And they also put up with all of our antics, which are real annoying.”

The harmless mishap comes on the heels of a much more serious incident last June when an intruder breached the morning show’s security looking for Al Roker.

The man, later identified as Andrew Truelove, confronted Craig Melvin, 47, and called him the n-word, after being unable to find Roker, 71.

He was detained and arrested, and the show has now implemented stricter security procedures.

That follows an even more serious incident surrounding the “Today” show.

Earlier this year, co-host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, was kidnapped from her Arizona home and still has not been found.

Two chilling ransom notes have been released and Savannah has made public pleas for any information about her mother’s disappearance.

A combined reward exceeding $1 million remains available for information that leads to answers in the case.
