The final games of the wild 2024-25 regular season are tonight, and today the NHL released its TV schedule for Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The postseason action starts Saturday with a pair of Western Conference matchups on Warner Bros. Discovery sister nets TNT and truTV: the Presidents Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets hosting the surging St. Louis Blues at 3 p.m. Pacific time, followed by the Colorado Avalanche visiting the Dallas Stars at 3:30 p.m. Both games also will stream on Max.
Action continues Sunday with three more games, with the rest of the eight first-round series starting Monday on ESPN or ESPN2. See the full schedule below.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are crammed with storylines this season. Among the juiciest is the fourth consecutive first-round matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers. The Canadian club has dispatched their longtime archrivals each of the past three years, but the California team is having one of the best seasons in its 58-year history.

Elsewhere in the West, the Pacific Division champion Vegas Golden Knights will have home-ice advantage over wild-card team the Minnesota Wild. The Eastern Conference matchups feature the Washington Capitals — whose captain Alexander Ovechkin broke Wayne Gretzky’s all-time NHL goals record this month — against the unlikely wild card Montreal Canadiens; the Toronto Maple Leafs, who haven’t won the Cup since 1967 vs. the Ottawa Senators, who made the playoffs for the first time since 2017; and defending champion Florida Panthers against in-state rival Tampa Bay Lightning.
