President Donald Trump’s unusually close relationship with his 35-year-old female aide Natalie Harp saw a new development Friday after a resurfaced video showed that the White House appointments secretary’s “devotion” to the commander in chief was evident years before joining the administration, The Daily Beast reported.
“The video unearthed by the Daily Beastwas published online in 2018, although it appears to have been recorded the year before,” the Beast’s report reads. “It shows how deep Harp’s devotion to the president ran two years before she said she first entered his orbit.”
In the roughly one-and-a-half-minute-long video, Harp narrates an incident in which she claimed to have been the ‘victim of medical error,’ describing how she was mistakenly injected with sterile water, sending her into hemorrhagic shock. Thanks to a “rare blood condition,” she claimed, she “became the only survivor of sterile water infusion.”
The video also features clips of Trump speaking, and concludes with a video of Harp praising her future boss: “The elites thought they held the Trump card – they didn’t count on Donald Trump like I did.”
Harp’s close relationship with Trump has been under heightened scrutiny over the past several days after Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) accused the president last weekend of wanting to “travel with Natalie” more than “do his job” as commander in chief.
In the days since, more details on Harp have been unearthed, including new details on adoring letters she wrote to Trump in which she claimed: “You are all that matters to me.” Harp’s closeness with Trump has reportedly unsettled the White House, leading to her being labeled as Trump’s human “binkie” and condemned by her own brother over her “very unhealthy” relationship with the 80-year-old president.
