Sony Taking Japanese Format ‘100 Choices‘ To London TV Screenings
Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is taking Japanese format 100 Choices to the London TV Screenings. FANY Studio’s show in which contestants are faced with one question but 100 possible answers first piloted in October 2023 before being picked up by SPT at the Asia TV Forum & Market. As well as distributing the format internationally, in countries where SPT has a non-fiction production company, the format will be repped by Stellify (UK), B17 Entertainment (U.S.), Curio (Australia), Teleset (Mexico) and Floresta (Brazil). In 100 Choices, contestants are faced with the 100 answers and if they can answer correctly, they win a large cash prize. The questions are nearly impossible to answer, so the contestants take on five physical challenges that allow them to eliminate some of the 100 potential choices based on their performance in each challenge. Laura St. Clair, SVP, International Formats, Sony Pictures Television, said: “100 Choices is a unique new take on family entertainment and comedy gameshow genres. We love the strength of the central format premise, which makes it suitable to adapt for both weekend studio prime time and location shoots.”
