‘The Pitt’ star Noah Wyle exits Hollywood agency Verve after two years, signs new deal with Warner Bros. TV

Noah Wyle, who is currently riding high with a pair of Emmy nominationsfor his work on the second season of HBO Max’s hit medical drama “The Pitt,” has left Verve, the agency he signed with a little over two years ago.

Wyle, who won his first Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series last year, has no immediate plans to sign with another agency at least in the short term, Page Six Hollywood has learned.

Wyle’s departure is the latest blow to Vervewhich is in the process of regaining its footing after a stretch of infighting among partners led to a number of clients and some agents leaving.

Verve, of course, isn’t the only agency struggling through the industry’s downturn, but their problems were compounded by some bad luck on the real estate front after the company signed a 10-year lease for their 53,000-square-foot office space on Barton Avenue — once occupied by Jeffrey Katzenberg‘s Quibi at the height of the rent market in the summer of 2023, as we previously reported.

Verve has been trying to renegotiate the terms of that lease.

Wyle recently closed an overall deal with Warner Bros. TV which is part of the reason he doesn’t want to sign with another agency.

“With his new deal, he wants to keep an open line of communication and work with all the agencies,” said a source.

Part of the reason for Wyle’s departure, P6H has learned, centered on confusion over the departure of Felicia Prinz who was partner and head of the television literary department at Verve where she worked for 13 years before jumping to Range Media Partners back in May.

According to this source, Prinz’s departure was not clearly and promptly communicated to Wyle who felt he was owed better communication as one of Verve’s most high-profile clients.

A source inside the agency pushed back on the narrative that Verve is struggling noting that the 16-year-old firm has been on a signing and hiring spree of its own.

Verve said in a statement: “Verve is proud of the unprecedented success we achieved together and wishes Noah Wyle continued success.”
