Ivanka Trump’s gorgeous Iceland photos show off her stunning cool-weather escape

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner swapped the summer heat for Iceland’s cooler weather during a recent family getaway filled with waterfalls and outdoor adventures.

Trump shared several stunning photos from the trip on social media, giving her followers a look at the family’s time exploring the Nordic country.

The photos showed Trump, 44, and Kushner, 45, taking in Iceland’s scenery, including a sweet shot of the couple together in front of a waterfall.

Another photo showed Kushner holding his wife as they shared a kiss, with the couple bundled up for the cool Icelandic weather.

Their three children, Arabella, Joseph and Theodore, also joined the trip, with Trump sharing a family photo of the five together outside a rustic home surrounded by greenery.

The family spent timein Iceland’s Blue Lagoon, with Trump sharing photos of herself and her two sons taking a dip.

Trump and Kushner have been together for nearly two decades, first meeting in 2007 before marrying in 2009.

For travelers looking to follow the family’s lead, Iceland can make for a “coolcation,” a getaway centered around escaping high summer temperatures in favor of a cooler destination.

The country offers milder weather along with plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors, from waterfalls and hiking trails to hot springs and other natural attractions.

June through August marks the country’s busiest travel period, as longer days and milder conditions make it easier for visitors to spend time outside, according to magazine Travel + Leisure.

Even at the height of summer, Iceland remains chilly compared with many traditional vacation spots. Reykjavík generally sees temperatures in the 50s, while the country’s northern location means daylight stretches well into the night, Travel + Leisure reported.

Summer also gives travelers access to areas that can be harder to reach at other times of year, including mountain roads and hiking trails. The season is a popular time for whale watching, with June and July among the best months for sightings, according to the publication.

Iceland is not the only destination offering travelers a break from the summer heat.

Norway delivers its own version of a cool-weather escape, pairing temperatures in the high 50s across northern and coastal areas with the long days the region is known for, according to business news outlet Quartz.

Those extra hours of daylight leave more time for travelers to experience the country’s fjords, whether from the water, along hiking trails or while exploring Norway’s coastal communities, Quartz reported.

Scotland offers another way to trade summer heat for time outdoors, with temperatures topping out around 63 degrees during the season, according to the outlet. Visitors can use the milder weather to explore the Highlands, tour castles or head for the coast.
