A serial sicko allegedly raped several children over an eight-year period after meeting them at Bronx shelters, police and sources said Sunday.
Stephen Charles, 42, was caught on Friday and hit with a slew of charges, including six counts of rape and five counts of predatory sexual assault for sexually abusing five children and an adult from January 1, 2018 through May 5, 2026, according to the NYPD.
Charles allegedly preyed on the victims at Bronx shelters before sexually assaulting them in homes across the Bronx’s Morris Heights, Baychester, and Soundview sections.
The underage victims were mostly boys aged 10, 11, 13 and 16. The creep also sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl and 18-year-old man, according to cops.
One of them was a relative of Charles’, sources told The Post. Victims recently reported the abuse to cops, sources said.
The creep was caught by the NYPD a day after cops asked the public’s help to track him down.
Charles was awaiting arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court as of Sunday night.
