How to watch World Cup 2026 Final, closing ceremony: Post Malone, Tom Cruise, more

After 39 days of games, the grand finale to the FIFA World Cup is here.

And in addition to the much-awaited Argentina and Spain match, this year’s final is is packed with a Super Bowl-level roster of A-list appearances and performances — from the closing ceremony to the first-ever World Cup halftime show.

When is the World Cup Final 2026?

The World Cup Final closing ceremony starts on Sunday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium, airing live on Fox. The game — which sees Spain taking on reigning champion Argentina — kicks off at 3 p.m. ET.

While the exact timing of the halftime show will depend on first-half stoppage, it’ll likely begin around 3:45 p.m. ET.

How to watch the World Cup Final for free

Performances at the closing ceremony include Post Malone, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, Laura Pausini and IShowSpeed — plus Jennifer Hudson, who will perform the U.S. national anthem. Tom Cruise is also slated to make a special appearance.

Who is performing at the World Cup halftime show?

This year’s unprecedented halftime show was curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, featuring stars from six different countries. The 11-minute spectacular includes co-headliners BTS, Justin Bieber — fresh off his return to the stage at Coachella — Madonna, Shakira and Burna Boy. Plus, Coldplay with perform with the PS22 chorus, and Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the New York Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.
