Pardoned J6er humiliated after botched attempt to crash Dem campaign event

A pardoned January 6 rioter and MAGA influencer suffered humiliation after a failed attempt to crash a campaign event.

The frequently arrested Jake Lang showed up at a canvassing launch in Michigan for Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for Senate. El-Sayed’s campaign posted a video of Lang standing up and yelling, “Why are you persecuting me?” during the event.

El-Sayed and his supporters responded by clapping and chanting “USA” while Lang was escorted out, and El-Sayed took advantage of the moment.

“He hates America,” El-Sayed said about Lang. “He hates the idea of what America was always supposed to be.”

Online, people praised El-Sayed’s response. “Listen to this,” British-American political commentator Mehdi Hasan wrote, reposting the video from El-Sayed’s campaign, while Georgia state legislator Ruwa Romman wrote, “This is so good.”

Other videos from the event show that Lang got a short bit of yelling before El-Sayed told his audience to “Clap him out.” NewsNation correspondent Mills Hayes noted that Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison was speaking when Lang stood up, and Lang seemed to be directing comments towards him.

Lang responded to the post by El-Sayed’s campaign with Islamophobic comments, including “SHARIA LAW IS NOT WELCOME IN MICHIGAN!!!!”

Lang was notably punched in the face after leading a march against Muslims and a Quran burning in Michigan last November. He also received a ten-day jail sentence earlier this year in Tennessee after being removed from a bond hearing for Dalton Eatherly, also known as “Chud the Builder.”
