Jimmy Fallon Pokes Fun at Joe Biden’s New Memoir

Welcome to Late Night Roundup, a rundown of the previous night’s highlights that lets you sleep — and lets us get paid to watch comedy. Here are the 50 best movies on Netflix right now.

If Memory Serves

On Wednesday, former President Joe Biden announced that he had written a new memoir about his time in office, “Promise Me, America,” which is set to be published on Nov. 17.

“It’s the second book Biden has written,” Jimmy Fallon said. “The first was ‘The Odyssey.’”

“The book was written by a ghostwriter, Joe Biden.” — JIMMY FALLON

“The book is about what Biden remembers from his presidency, so it’s three pages.” — JIMMY FALLON

“It’s kind of a strange book because toward the end it starts being written by Kamala Harris.” — JIMMY FALLON

The Punchiest Punchlines (We’re No. 2 Edition)

“We’ve been following this story very closely here at ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ all week, and the outbreak of explosive diarrhea sweeping the nation has now spread to 34 states, including right here in California. Yeah, so I want everyone in our audience right now, turn to the person to your right, then turn to the person to your left. All three of you are about to get explosive diarrhea.” — IKE BARINHOLTZ, guest host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“They’re saying one of the reasons this outbreak has been so hard to contain is that last year the C.D.C., under this administration, stopped keeping track of the parasite that causes the explosive diarrhea. But I want to give the president the credit he deserves, and I know how much he loves putting his name on things. So I’m announcing that from now on, this outbreak will be officially known as Trump Diarrhea!” — IKE BARINHOLTZ

“Hmm, OK. Let me see if I can track this. We cut the funding for the program that tracks forever diarrhea, and now people are getting forever diarrhea. Let me see if I can figure this out.” — MICHAEL KOSTA

The Bits Worth Watching

Jon Bernthal, who stars in “The Odyssey,” shared his excitement about working with Christopher Nolan while sitting down with Seth Meyers on Wednesday’s “Late Night.”

What We’re Excited About on Thursday Night

Regina Hall will discuss her role in “The Five Star Weekend” on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

After waiting years to be cast as the main character, Octavia Spencer stars in Amazon’s new action-comedy series, “Ride or Die.”
