“The Beguiled” (July 1)
This gothic remake from Sofia Coppola stars Colin Farrell as a wounded Union Army corporal who is brought back to health by teachers and students at an all-girls school in Virginia.
As the corporal’s health improves, some of the women, played by Nicole Kidman and Kirsten Dunst, begin dangerous games of rivalry for his affection.
“Donnie Brasco” (July 1)
In this underrated gangster movie based on a true story, Al Pacino plays a foot soldier for the mob who unwittingly lets an FBI undercover agent (Johnny Depp) into his criminal inner circle.
“Moneyball” (July 1)
This beloved sports movie, based on the 2003 book that would launch baseball’s obsession with analytics, stars Brad Pitt as Oakland Athletics GM Billy Beane, who defies decades of baseball thinking and builds his 2002 team with the help of mathematical statistics.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” (July 1)
In the movie that launched Tom Holland’s Spider-Man era, Peter Parker (Holland) must navigate high school while embracing his newfound powers under the mentorship of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).
“White Chicks” (July 1)
Though it was panned by critics when it was released in 2004, this Keenen Ivory Wayans comedy has since become a cult classic.
Shawn and Marlon Wayans play FBI agents who go undercover as white women to protect two heiresses while they vacation in the Hamptons. Hilarious chaos ensues.
Memento (July 5)
Before Christopher Nolan became the king of IMAX blockbusters, he directed this indie starring Guy Pearce as a man searching for his wife’s murderer while suffering from short-term memory loss. In ambitious Nolan fashion, the story is told backward.
“Hamnet” (July 6)
One of the most acclaimed movies of 2025, Chloé Zhao’s powerful drama focuses on the family life of William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) as he and his wife (Jessie Buckley) cope with the death of their child, Hamnet. Buckley would go on to win an Oscar for her performance.
“The Hunger Games” (July 14)

“72 Hours” (July 24)
This Netflix original comedy from director Tim Story (“Barbershop,” the “Ride Along” franchise) stars Kevin Hart as a 40-year-old who joins a group of twenty-something friends on a bachelor party after he’s accidentally added to their group chat.
“Tár” (July 27)
Cate Blanchett gives a riveting performance as a world-renowned conductor whose life unravels after she’s accused of misconduct.
