Ryan Fournier, a MAGA activist and co-founder of Students for Trump, was arrested Thursday morning on a cocaine charge, his third arrest since May.
A joint D.C. police and FBI task force executed a search warrant at Fournier’s luxury Washington apartment. They found a bag of white powder that field-tested positive for cocaine, according to court records. He was charged with misdemeanor cocaine possession.
The arrest came as Fournier was already facing a domestic violence case.
In late May, police say Fournier punched a woman in the face while drunk, got on top of her, and threatened to kill everyone in the room, according to court records. His roommate called 911. Fournier pleaded not guilty.
A judge ordered him to stay away from the woman. He allegedly texted her anyway, which led to a second arrest in June for contempt — violating a court order.
That June arrest came during a Secret Service investigation into a separate scheme. Fournier’s friend Jordan Daley had allegedly been flashing a fake Secret Service badge around Washington, telling people he was assigned to protect Fournier, The Bulwark reported. Daley allegedly boasted that the pair planned to bring guns to a UFC fight at the White House.
Fournier’s legal troubles stretch back to 2023, when he was charged in North Carolina with striking a woman in the forehead with a gun. Those charges were dropped.
His Students for Trump co-founder, John Lambert, was sentenced to 13 months in prison in 2021 for running a fake law firm that bilked clients out of thousands of dollars, Defector reported. Lambert’s lawyer named Fournier as a co-conspirator. Fournier cooperated with prosecutors and avoided charges.
Around the time of his May arrest, Fournier announced on LinkedIn that he was serving as Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the Justice Department. The department never confirmed the claim.
Fournier’s domestic violence case is scheduled for a hearing on July 7.
