Adorable doggy fashion show ‘Dare to Strut’ takes Los Angeles by storm

Woof! They came, they saw, they conquered — and the doggos were dressed to impress.

Some of Los Angeles’ most stylish pups hit the runway Sunday for “Dare to Strut,” a canine fashion show that turned Father’s Day into a four-legged fashion spectacle.

The event took place on June 21 at Pawradise Park, turning the space into a runway where dogs and their owners walked together to celebrate fashion, creativity, and their special connection.

Dog-and-human duos vied for top honors in categories like Holiday Couture, Couture Canines, and the Signature Story Runway, each team flaunting its flair and personality before the judges.

Some pups rocked bright, colorful fur—think hot pink—while another channeled Parisian chic in a striped shirt, red beret, and oversized white sunglasses.

Others twinned with their owners in matching dresses and they did not disappoint!

Awards were given for Most Fashionable Dog, Best Matching Duo, and Best Trick.

Founded by event producer and storyteller Shi Choong, Dare to Strut is considered more than a doggy fashion show.

The event grew out of Choong’s empowerment platform She Dares to Rise, which encourages participants to embrace courage, authenticity and belonging.

Organizers said Dare to Strut keeps that same spirit, inviting dogs and their humans to walk the runway just as they are.

It’s not about perfection — the event aims to celebrate confidence and heart while highlighting the deep bonds people share with their pets.

The afternoon also showcased original creations from local and emerging pet fashion designers — giving guests a sneak peek at the latest trends in pet couture.

Beyond the runway, visitors browsed local pet vendors, enjoyed music and joined fellow dog lovers for an afternoon full of style and dog-themed fun.

The dog-friendly event coincided with both Father’s Day and National Dog Party Day — drawing pet parents, animal lovers and plenty of camera-ready canines for a day dedicated to fashion and friendship.
