New details were revealed in “24” actor Kiefer Sutherland’s alleged attack and threat to kill an Uber driver, TMZ reported on Friday.
In a new lawsuit filed by Rafael Manvelyan, who said he speaks limited English and his languages are primarily Russian and Armenian, claimed that “Kiefer got ‘agitated’ when the actor was struggling to understand him” after he picked him up in Los Angeles on Jan. 12.
He said he noticed that the actor was “visibly intoxicated” and “increasingly hostile, aggressive, confrontational,” according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Sutherland allegedly “threatened to kill him and started attacking him while he was driving, claiming Kiefer repeatedly hit him ‘with closed fists’ in his head, face, neck and upper body.”
“Rafael claims Kiefer also put him in a chokehold and continued threatening to kill him,” TMZ reported. “The driver says he managed to get out of the car and start running away … but alleges the actor followed him down the street yelling, ‘I’m going to kill you.’”
Manvelyan said that his dashcam caught some of the incident and that witnesses also saw the attack.
“The driver says he suffered injuries to his head, face, neck, spine and shoulder. He says cops who responded to the scene could see his forehead was bruised and swelling,” TMZ reported.
