Morgan Wallen addresses ‘nonsense’ rumors after abruptly canceling Pittsburgh show days after onstage meltdown

He’s wonderin’ ’bout the wind.

Morgan Wallen addressed “nonsense” rumors about himself after he abruptly canceled his show in Pittsburgh days after he had a mid-performance meltdown.

“This morning, my team walked on the bus and told me they had been consulting with local officials and that I should cancel my show in Pittsburgh tonight and I said, ‘Why?’” the country singer recalled in a video posted to his Instagram Stories Saturday.

“They said that there was going to be strong winds in the area, and I said, ‘OK.’ So, that is what I did in that moment, and I trusted my team,” he added.

Wallen, 33, said that though he understood the wind hadn’t reached Pittsburgh yet, it had hit nearby parts of Pennsylvania.

“The truth of the matter is, I have a large stage that, in those conditions, could become fatal to a lot of folks around it. So, I did the best I could with the information I had in that moment,” he explained.

“I’ve been seeing a lot of nonsense about me that is simply not true, and I just wanted to clear the air,” Wallen shared.

“I think my true fans know that that’s not how I operate in general, but I had to say it.”

Earlier that day, Wallen announced that his second Pittsburgh show of his Still The Problem Tour was canceled due to the threat of bad weather in the area.

“After talking with local officials and my team, there is no choice but to cancel tonight’s show due to severe adverse weather conditions expected throughout the rest of the day and night,” he wrote.

“Safety for my fans and crew is the highest priority,” the “Whiskey Glasses” crooner shared, adding that refunds would be available at the point of purchase.

Several people took to social media, slamming Wallen for the cancellation as the weather reportedly cleared.

KDKA Radio’s Marty Griffin tweeted, “Acrisure stadium officials fuming. Sources confirm… Wallen left town on plane before they even had meeting and demanded they announce the cancellation after he was in the air.”

Pittsburgh editor Mike J. Asti wrote on X: “A Saturday cancelation even as weather clears up has caused a heel turn that may make him never welcomed back. Unbelievable turn of events.”

Comedian Dustin Nickerson shared a picture of the “beautiful” weather in the city the night Wallen canceled.

Page Six reached out to Wallen’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The two-time Grammy nominee’s latest concert drama comes days after he lost his cool onstage in Denver on May 29 after his piano malfunctioned during his performance of “Sand in my Boots.”

Following the song, Wallen walked to the upright piano, shoved it, flipped it and broke it.
