An Arizona man was arrested by local law enforcement in California after allegedly attempting to kill his girlfriend last year by strangling her with bed sheets.
Jason Marchesano, 46, was apprehended at Legoland theme park on Monday and taken into custody in Carlsbad.
The arrest comes more than six months after the incident, when Marchesano allegedly tied up his girlfriend with bed sheets inside a trailer in Paulden, Arizona, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman escaped the October incident and later filed a report.
“This arrest was made possible by strong investigative work, interagency partnership, and a community member who chose to speak up,” the YCSO said in a statement.
