Donald Trump furiously slams musicians dropping out of Freedom 250 concert: ‘Third rate artists’

Donald Trump furiously laid into the several “third rate artists” who pulled out of the Freedom 250 concert series as he proposed a replacement event in one of his recent Truth Social posts.

“I understand Artists are getting ‘the yips’ having to do with their performance on Wednesday, so I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World,” he wrote before referring to himself as “the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime.”

He continued on in his statement, adding that he would give a “major” speech that would rally “the Country forward like I have done ever since being President.”

“Two years ago, the United States was DEAD. Now we have the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World. I don’t want so-called ‘Artists’ that get paid far too much money, who aren’t happy. I only want to be surrounded by Happy People, Smart People, Successful People, and People that know how to WIN,” Trump continued.

“So, by copy of this TRUTH, I am ordering my Representatives to look at the feasibility of doing an AMERICA IS BACK Rally on Wednesday, Washington, D.C., same time, same location. Only Great Patriots invited — It will be a Wild and Beautiful Celebration of America!”

It remains unclear as to why the president decided on June 3 for the event.

The president’s statement comes after multiple artists including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Morris Day & The Time, Young MC, and The Commodores each pulled out of the concert series, which was scheduled to run from June 25 to July 10.

In each of their announcements delivering the news of their cancelations, the artists all made claims of being misled as to the nature of the event.

“I was presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading,” McBride, wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday.

Young MC claimed “the artists were never told about any political involvement with the event” in his Instagram statement. The rapper also referred to the concert as a “bait-and-switch” in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Michaels told fans that he was pulling out of the show because “what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of,” in his social media statement.

Still confirmed as performers are Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli’s Fab Morvan.

The rapper Flo Rida has not yet made a statement about whether he will still perform.
