Tom Hardy sacked from ‘MobLand’ after enraging another A-list star with behavior: report

New details have emerged after Tom Hardy was reportedly fired from the Paramount+ series “MobLand” after two seasons.

The actor allegedly enraged his co-star Helen Mirren, 80, with how he behaved on set, per the Daily Mail.

“Tom’s character is charming. He’s the calm one but it is quite the opposite when the cameras stop. Dame Helen is a joy, she is a total pro and she has worked with so many people over the years,” one source said.

At one point, the insider claimed that Mirren even found Hardy, 48, playing games on his phone when he was supposed to be somewhere else.

“She is getting increasingly frustrated with Tom and his attitude,” they alleged. “He can be late to filming too and that is annoying for Dame Helen, who is extremely professional and disciplined. His tone is something Dame Helen doesn’t like, along with his lateness.”

The insider added that Mirren “expects better” and “holds people to a high standard.”

Hardy “swaggers around like a king” while on set and is “very, very arrogant,” the source claimed.

They alleged that even the “behind-the-scenes crew” believes that Mirren “no longer looks as happy” during scenes with her co-star.

“It has all become quite personal between them,” the source shared. “It feels like Tom is winding her up.”

The insider said, “It’s a fantastic show and everyone loves working on it. It’s such a shame there is this undertone.”

Another source claimed that, despite no one asking, Hardy would offer up notes on the script.

One source even alleged that the “Legend” star was upset that the crime show heavily featured Mirren and Pierce Brosnan’s storylines over his.

There was also rumored tension between Hardy and executive producer Jez Butterworth.

The insider claimed that Butterworth had threatened to quit amid rising issues.

Page Six has reached out to reps for Hardy and Mirren for comment.

On Friday, sources told Variety that Hardy was let go from the show after “on-set issues” with Butterworth, 101 Studios and others.

A Puck News report claimed the English actor was consistently late while shooting Season 2 of “MobLand,” changed dialogue, was unhappy about the ensemble cast and gave frequent script notes.

The outlet also alleged that Paramount fired Hardy when Butterworth threatened to walk.

Hardy starred as a fixer for a London crime family in the hit drama.

Along with Brosnan, 73, and Mirren, “MobLand” includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, Mandeep Dhillon and Daniel Betts.

Season 2 wrapped production in March, per Variety, but no premiere date has been announced yet.

The show has not yet been renewed for Season 3.

Despite the current tensions, Butterworth had a different point of view just last summer.

After the first season ended with Hardy’s character being accidentally stabbed by his wife Jan (Froggatt), Butterworth made it clear that the star wasn’t being written out.

“No. We’re not gonna — we love Harry. We love Tom,” Butterworth insisted to The Post in June.

The producer added that he wants the series “to run for as long as it fascinates and delights and stimulates an audience.”

Meanwhile, last May, Hardy explained to Esquire that he agreed to do “MobLand” because it allowed him to flex “different muscles” in terms of acting.

However, he also opened up about his physical issues, including having “two knee surgeries” and a herniated disc in his back.

“I’ve got sciatica as well,” Hardy continued to the outlet. “And I have that… is it plantar fasciitis? Where did that come from? And why? And I pulled my tendon in my hip as well.”

He elaborated, “It’s all falling to bits now, and it’s not going to get better.”
