“The Voice” premiered in 2011 as a brand-new take on the singing competition show.
Instead of simply having celebrity judges critique contestants, four musical icons were recruited as “coaches.” They would battle each other via a team of hopeful stars selected after blind auditions.
In the 15 years since, there have been 29 seasons of “The Voice.” But while the show is a ratings hit and attracts A-list talent like Ariana Grande, Adam Levine, Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Miley Cyrus, John Legend, and more, its winners haven’t enjoyed the same level of success as, say, some “American Idol” winners.
Nevertheless, we used streaming numbers, chart success, social media, and the careers of other musicians in each season to determine which winner of “The Voice” has had the best career (and which ones could use a little boost).
28. Josh Kaufman (season 6)

In May 2014, Josh Kaufman won season six.
Since winning, Kaufman, 49, hasn’t had any original music hit the Billboard charts. He’s also only released one album, 2019’s “Ndoxo, Vol. 1.”
In 2017, he appeared in a Broadway holiday medley show called “Home for the Holidays,” hosted by “Bachelorette” lead Kaitlyn Bristowe and co-headlined by “American Idol” winner Candice Glover.
He has 27,500 Instagram followers.
The main thing working against Kaufman, though, is the fact that both the late Christina Grimmie and controversial (yet highly successful) country star Morgan Wallen were on his season — they’re easily the most talked-about contestants from season six.
Plus, most of his recent songs on Spotify have only been listened to around 1,000 times.
27. Jermaine Paul (season 2)

The second winner of “The Voice” was Jermaine Paul. He won in May 2012.
Paul, 46, unfortunately was more successful before he went on “The Voice.” He had even been nominated for a Grammy!
But 14 years on, Paul has failed to chart any singles on the Hot 100, had one song peak at No. 27 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart in 2013, and his most successful song on Spotify is from January 2012 — before he was on the show.
He’s not on Instagram.
Paul also has the success of other contestants from his season working against him, like Chris Mann, Juliet Simms, and Raelynn.
26. Adam David (season 27)

Adam David, 36, has to be toward the bottom of this list because he only won last February.
David, who was coached by Michael Bublé, released music in 2014 but took an 11-year break before appearing on “The Voice” last year. He’s currently got 18,100 followers on Instagram.
His first post-show single, “Savior,” has been streamed around 119,000 times.
25. Aiden Ross (season 28)

Aiden Ross won season 28 in December 2025, giving Niall Horan his third consecutive win as a coach.
The 25-year-old may only have won a few months ago, but he’s doing well so far. His single “Everything and More,” which was released right before his audition aired in September 2025, has 303,000 streams. His follow-up, which dropped in January 2026, has 81,000 streams.
He has 78,000 followers on Instagram.
24. Sofronio Vasquez (season 26)

Sofronio Vasquez is also toward the bottom of this list because he only won in December 2024.
The 33-year-old has 95,600 followers on Instagram and regularly posts about upcoming shows and other events. He put out a couple of Christmas songs, including one with Michael Bublé in October 2025, but his highest-streamed song comes from the soundtrack of “The Secrets of Hotel 88,” a Philippine TV series.
23. Maelyn Jarmon (season 16)

Maelyn Jarmon won season 16 in May 2019.
It took about seven years, but Jarmon, 33, has finally put out solo music under the mononym Maelyn. She’s released two singles, “Dreamboat” and a cover of “Fields of Gold,” which have 10,000 and 19,900 streams, respectively.
Her advantage is her Instagram following, which is at 64,900 followers. She also has a presence on TikTok.
22. Asher HaVon (season 25)

HaVon, 34, has released a few songs since winning “The Voice,” but he only won in May 2024, so it’s been less than two years.
Two fun facts about HaVon: He’s the first LGBTQ+ winner in the history of “The Voice” and he was the first winner for coach Reba McEntire.
According to his Instagram (where he has 95,200 followers), his second single since winning, “De La Rosa,” was released in May 2025. His first post-win song, “Thank You,” came out in November 2024 and has been streamed around 54,000 times.
21. Javier Colon (season 1)

Right above Jermaine Paul is the first-ever “Voice” champion, Javier Colon, who won in June 2011.
Colon, 47, will forever be known as the first “Voice” winner, but Kelly Clarkson he is not. He has 28,500 followers on Instagram and a thriving TikTok presence, with 108,000 followers.
But, unfortunately, he hasn’t had a song chart on the Hot 100 since his season, and he has only released one album, “Gravity,” which came out in 2016. His highest-charting album actually came in 2003, years before he ever appeared on TV.
20. Todd Tilghman (season 18)

Todd Tilghman, a 48-year-old pastor, won the 18th season in May 2020.
Since then, he’s steadily released singles like “Still To Come,” “PB&J,” “Love Me,” Daylight,” and, most recently in March 2026, “Didn’t Feel Like Faith.” His most successful (non-“Voice”) single, “Jesus And You,” has 346,000 streams on Spotify.
He has a perfectly respectable 45,100 followers on Instagram.
19. Carter Rubin (season 19)

Carter Rubin, who is just 20, is one of the more recent “Voice” champions, earning the trophy during season 19 in December 2020.
His debut single, “Horoscope,” was announced in 2021 and has around 302,000 streams on Spotify.
His most recent single, “Ready When Ur Not,” was released in December 2025, and his debut EP, “I Still Know Nothing,” was released in July 2024.
He has a cool 62,500 followers on Instagram.
18. Cam Anthony (season 20)

Cam Anthony took home the trophy during season 20 in May 2021.
Before his win, Anthony, now 24, was actually already successful as a pre-teen YouTube star.
Aged 12, Anthony sang the national anthem at the White House and performed on “Ellen.” He was profiled in 2014 by The Source, who called him a “singing child prodigy.”
In 2018, when he was 16, he won a show at the Apollo on the Fox reality show “Showtime at the Apollo,” reported The Philadelphia Sun.
However, through all of that, he never officially recorded his own original music, leading him to “The Voice” in 2021. He won and subsequently began recording new music. He released a single, “Keep It Between Us,” in July 2022, and it has over 217,000 streams.
However, it took three years, and we’ve only gotten one more song, “So Will I (100 Billion X),” which only has around 1,300 streams.
Anthony has over 67,500 subscribers on YouTube and 223,000 followers on Instagram.
17. Craig Wayne Boyd (season 7)

Craig Wayne Boyd was crowned the season seven winner in December 2014.
Boyd, 47, has released three albums since his win back in 2014.
He did have a No. 1 song on the Hot Country chart, but it was one of his songs from “The Voice,” and he hasn’t had much success since. His Instagram follower count sits at 31,500.
Most recently, his third album “Tidbits” was released in May 2025. His 2023 single, “One Line Away,” has over 404,000 streams on Spotify, boosting his ranking.
What gives him the slight edge over others on this list is that the only other famous person from his season is Bryana Salaz, who starred in the Netflix series “Team Kaylie.”
16. Huntley (season 24)

Huntley, the 24th winner of “The Voice,” was coach Niall Horan’s second win, making Horan a back-to-back champion after his team member Gina Miles won season 23.
As Huntley (real name Michael Huntley) was only crowned in December 2023, we’ll have to wait and see how his career pans out.
But the 36-year-old is off to a strong start, with over 114,000 followers on Instagram already, plus his April 2025 single “Fire And Flames,” with 1.2 million streams and a pre-show single, “Holdin On,” with 2.17 million streams.
15. Alisan Porter (season 10)

Former child star Alisan Porter won season 10 of “The Voice” in May 2016.
Porter, who used to be best known for playing the titular role in “Curly Sue,” is now a singer and an influencer, with over 126,000 followers on Instagram.
Porter, 44, had her coronation song reach No. 100 on the Hot 100, but she hasn’t had a single there again.
Her pre-“Voice” album, “Who We Are,” is still her highest-charting album, which peaked at No. 20 on the Americana/Folk chart.
But she’s still releasing music. She had an album come out in 2019, “Pink Cloud,” and a single in November 2016 called “California.” Porter is also a vocal coach and talent manager.
14. Gina Miles (season 23)

Gina Miles won season 23 in May 2023.
Miles, 22, became Niall Horan’s first win as a coach — in his first season on the show.
She’s already released an EP, “Who Are You,” and released a cover of “Wicked Game” in 2024 that has over 852,000 streams, so we can assume big things are in store for Miles.
She also opened for Horan for two of his shows during his latest tour, and released a single, “As I Am,” in April 2026.
She has 91,200 followers on Instagram.
13. Chris Blue (season 12)

Season 12’s winner was Chris Blue in May 2017.
The 36-year-old singer found success on the R&B charts with his covers on the show, but post-“Voice,” Blue is still waiting for a real breakout.
However, he is consistently releasing music. He had the 2019 album “Fresh Start,” a 2019 Christmas album “One Light,” a Gospel album in 2024 called “Foundation: The Hymns Of My Heart,” and most recently, a second Christmas album called “Every Day Is Christmas,” in October 2025.
In fact, “Foundation” reached No. 8 on the Top Gospel Albums chart, making him a relatively rare chart success in this franchise.
He has 102,000 followers on Instagram, which dings him a few points.
12. Alexia Jayy (season 29)

Alexia Jayy, our latest champion, has rocketed up the list due to the strong following she had before she ever set foot on the set of “The Voice.” The 31-year-old has 354,000 followers on Instagram, and her first post-show single, “Rent Free,” has already been streamed over 84,000 times.
However, her 2023 single, “Supposed 2,” has been streamed 1.15 million times, and her 2022 single “I Need a Man” has 1.6 million streams.
Not bad, but we’re waiting to see how the rest of her post-show music does before she can crack the top 10.
Either way, she’s easily the most successful winner the show has produced in years.
11. Bryce Leatherwood (season 22)

Bryce Leatherwood, the winner of season 22 in December 2022, was Blake Shelton’s final winner on the show.
Leatherwood, 26, released his debut single in October 2023, “The Finger,” which has around 623,000 streams on Spotify. His debut album, “Bryce Leatherwood,” was released in May 2025, and the singles released from it (“Where The Bar Is,” “Hung Up On You,” and “Shenandoah”) have both been streamed hundreds of thousands of times.
“Hung Up On You,” specifically, found success on country radio, per Country Now. “Still Learning,” also off the album, has been streamed 1.36 million times.
Leatherwood released another single, “One More Day (Closer to Hell)” in March 2026.
He has 130,000 followers on Instagram.
10. Jake Hoot (season 17)

Jake Hoot won season 17 in December 2019.
Hoot, 37, reunited with his coach, Kelly Clarkson, for a duet in February 2021, “I Would’ve Loved You,” which peaked at No. 1 on the Country Digital Song chart and has over 5.27 million streams on Spotify.
He also released his second EP, “Fan Made Tapes,” in January 2022. His latest single, “The Blade,” featuring Jamie Floyd, was released in April 2026.
But he hasn’t found much success on his own. He has performed at the Grand Ole Opry many times, and he has a respectable 84,900 followers on Instagram, but we have a feeling he’ll hit some higher highs later in his career.
11. Tessanne Chin (season 5)

Tessanne Chin won the fifth season in December 2013.
Chin has one of the biggest followings of any “Voice” winner, with over 312,000 followers on Instagram.
But the 40-year-old singer’s social-media success hasn’t really translated to the charts. At the time of her win, her first post-show release had the lowest sales of any “Voice” winner at the time, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
However, the album did peak at No. 41 on the Billboard 200, which is now something that rarely happens to “Voice” winners. She was also asked to perform at the White House in 2014.
She dropped a single, “High Time,” in November 2025.
9. Sundance Head (season 11)

Sundance Head was named the winner of season 11 in December 2016.
While Head has a smaller Instagram following than other winners (30,200 followers), the 47-year-old singer has released four albums, and his coronation song, “Darlin’ Don’t Go,” peaked at No. 67 on the Hot 100.
That song also peaked at No. 4 on the Hot Country chart. Head also had a cover, “Me and Jesus,” top the Hot Christian chart.
His most recent album, “Starting Again,” came out in September 2022.
8. Chevel Shepherd (season 15)

Season 15’s winner in December 2018 was Chevel Shepherd.
This 23-year-old has found success as a country singer. Her coronation song hit No. 1 on the Country Digital Song Sales charts (and had two other top 10s on it, as well), and she reached the top of the Emerging Artist chart.
Shepherd also released a country album in 2020, “A Good Ol’ Country Christmas.” She dropped a seven-track EP, “Everybody’s Got a Story,” in March 2021.
Her single “Lookin’ for Loretta” was released in February 2023.
She also appeared in the 2022 film “Vengeance,” directed by BJ Novak, and the 2023 film “Wildfire.”
Shepherd has 122,000 Instagram followers.
7. Chloe Kohanski (season 13)

Chloe Kohanski, also known as chloe mk and sweet93, earned the most votes in season 13 back in December 2017.
Kohanski, 32, released her first EP in 2019, called “Fantasy,” and a single, “Cosmic,” in 2020. It’s since garnered over 1.97 million streams. Another single, “David Bowie,” has 1.47 million streams.
She’s one of the rare “Voice” contestants whose original music outperforms her covers on Spotify as well, pointing to her popularity.
She’s also garnered 50,3000 followers on Instagram and has topped Billboard’s Emerging Artist chart multiple times.
In 2020, she announced she was parting ways with Republic Records (like many “Voice” contestants do), so we’ll see what’s next for Kohanski. In 2021, she released her first album, “All the Same Ok.”
More recently, she has been releasing new music under the name sweet93, like the singles “Stars Above” (4.96 million streams) in August 2023, “What’s True?” (1.5 million streams) in October 2024, and “I Wanna” (385,622 streams) in April 2025.
6. Girl Named Tom (season 21)

The season 21 champs were the folk trio Girl Named Tom. They were crowned in December 2021.
Girl Named Tom, which consists of Caleb Liechty, Joshua Liechty, and Bekah Liechty, had a career before “The Voice,” though they had only released music independently. When they won, they became the first-ever trio to win “The Voice.”
They’ve been successful since. The band has 161,000 followers on Instagram and released a Christmas album, “One More Christmas,” in November 2022. One of the songs, “Helplessly Hoping,” has over 3.3 million streams.
Their latest album, “Dust to Dust,” was released in April 2026.
5. Sawyer Fredericks (season 8)

In May 2015, Sawyer Fredericks took home season eight’s trophy.
Fredericks, 27, set iTunes records when he appeared on the show, and his covers reached the top 10 of the iTunes singles chart every week.
Republic Records also said he came close to breaking the one-day download record with his song “Please.”
“Please” also peaked at No. 37 on the Hot 100, and two of his albums reached the Billboard 200: 2015’s “Sawyer Fredericks” and 2016’s “A Good Storm.”
Fredericks also found success on Country, Rock, and Alternative charts. His most recent album was released in 2025, called “No Need to Wonder.”
His social media drags him down a bit though — he has 84,400 followers on Instagram — as does the success of his fellow contestant Koryn Hawthorne.
4. Brynn Cartelli (season 14)

Brynn Cartelli, the youngest winner to date, took the title in season 14 in May 2018.
Cartelli won when she was 15. Now 23, she has 197,000 followers on Instagram.
Her top song on Spotify is her 2021 single, “If I Could,” which has over 15.2 million streams, though she has other original songs like “Last Night’s Mascara” with 13.5 million streams, “Long Way Home” with 5.4 million streams, and “Love You in My Mind” with 7 million streams.
She released her debut full-length album, “Out of the Blue,” in March 2024, with an extended version with three more tracks in January 2025. It performed well on the iTunes pop chart, peaking at No. 8. In January 2026, she released a new single, “Impossible shoes.”
Cartelli was also nominated for a People’s Choice Award in 2018.
3. Jordan Smith (season 9)

Jordan Smith won season nine in December 2015.
Smith, 32, made Billboard history in December 2015 when he held the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Hot Christian Songs chart. That alone would secure him the third-place spot on this list, but Smith also reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with his debut album, “Something Beautiful,” and No. 11 with his 2016 Christmas album, “‘Tis the Season.”
Songs from “‘Tis the Season” are mega-successful; “Grown-Up Christmas List” has 61 million streams, while his cover of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” has 8.7 million.
Overall, he’s had three No. 1 songs on the Hot Christian Songs chart and three top 10s. He released his fourth album, “The People’s Hymnal,” in February 2025.
Smith also has 214,000 followers on Instagram, and he wrote the “Deadpool 2” song “Ashes,” which Céline Dion performed in the film.
In 2022, Smith represented Kentucky in “American Song Contest,” the American version of Eurovision. He performed the song “Sparrow.” He came in third.
2. Cassadee Pope (season 3)

Former Hey Monday singer and season three champ Cassadee Pope won in December 2012.
Pope, 36, already had a following when she appeared on “The Voice,” but she was competing in a completely new genre. As the lead singer of Hey Monday, Pope was part of the pop-punk scene, but on the show, she revealed she wanted to be a country singer.
Her debut album in 2013, “Frame by Frame,” peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. She also got her own episode of “Lip Sync Battle,” and she was even nominated for a Grammy in 2016. Currently, she has 584,000 Instagram followers.
In 2022, Pope announced she was stepping away from country music and returning to her pop-punk roots due to what she saw as pervasive sexism and anti-trans rhetoric, Rolling Stone reported.
Her latest album, “Hereditary,” was released in July 2024. She dropped a single, “Bad Decisions,” the following month.
Pope’s season also had famous faces like Melanie Martinez, Loren Allred, and MacKenzie Bourg.
1. Danielle Bradbery (season 4)

Danielle Bradbery won season four in June 2013.
Bradbery, 29, is a legitimately successful country singer. None of her top songs on Spotify are from “The Voice,” and she had an original song peak at No. 58 on the Hot 100, as well as two original albums reaching No. 19 and No. 41 on the Billboard 200.
Her most-streamed song, “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots,” has an impressive 88.39 million streams. Another hit, “Sway,” has 67.7 million streams.
She’s also had seven songs on the Hot 100 and 15 songs on the Hot Country chart, with “Goodbye Summer” with Thomas Rhett peaking at No. 39 in 2018. Her 2020 single “Never Have I Ever” reached No. 58 on US Country Airplay. Additionally, she has 458,000 Instagram followers.
She was nominated at the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards for new female vocalist of the year. She also appeared in episodes of “Nashville” and “Hart of Dixie.”
In September 2024, she released her latest album, “Danielle.”
