A lawyer predicted on Sunday that one of the “messy” members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet could be the next to go.
Shant Karnikian, co-host of the “Civil Action” podcast, predicted during a new episode that Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer could be the next one of Trump’s cabinet secretaries to depart the administration because her husband has been accused of inappropriately touching employees at the Labor Department. Karnikian described it as a “messy little saga” inside the administration.
“We’ve covered this character before, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, but there’s more going on right now,” he said. “And we are predicting that she may be the next big firing. I don’t know how big it is because there are other big ones possibly coming down the line, but she may be another one that bites the dust soon.”
Recent cabinet secretaries who have departed the Trump administration include former Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Bondi was reportedly let go after she failed to prosecute the president’s political enemies, and Noem was terminated after a culmination of leadership failures.
