Who’s Winning the Cash Race in 9 Top Senate Contests?

Millions of dollars are flooding the main Senate battlegrounds as Republicans defend their majority and Democrats have growing hopes of winning back the chamber.

In nearly all of the key Senate races, Democratic candidates raised more than Republicans through their main campaign committees. But in a sign of major Republican donors’ desire to defend control of Congress, the party’s allied outside groups raised more than Democratic ones did.

Here’s a look at how the candidates in some of the most competitive Senate races are measuring up in the fund-raising battle:

About the data

Fund-raising figures include total contributions to each candidate’s main campaign committee, not including refunded contributions and contributions that candidates made to themselves. The totals also include transfers to the main committee from other committees.
