Losing weight isn’t easy, especially when money is tight. After all, it can be difficult to make healthier food choices on a budget.
Thankfully, though, as a frequent Costco shopper, I found lots of nutritious, wallet-friendly options that helped me lose over 60 pounds.
Here are seven products that helped me lose weight and stay on track of my goals as a competitive swimmer.
Prices may vary by location.
The Kirkland Signature beef bulgogi is a great dinner option.

Back in high school and college, I used to consume most of my calories through unhealthy dinner choices. So, I knew I had to make a change.
Luckily, I found Costco’s sweet yet savory beef bulgogi. When paired with some brown rice and vegetables, a sensible serving of this high-protein meal leaves me feeling full.
A package cost me a little over $23, which I thought was a total steal.
My pantry is always stocked with Kirkland Signature protein bars.

Whenever I’m at Costco, I love picking up the variety pack of 20 Kirkland Signature protein bars for $26.50.
Each serving is loaded with 21 grams of protein and real chocolate. They’re a nice treat that doesn’t make my diet feel too restrictive.
For a midday snack replacement, I love having a Muscle Milk protein shake.

I used to turn to potato chips or pretzels for a midday snack, but that wasn’t working out so well for my waistline. Once I substituted those with Muscle Milk protein shakes, though, I started to feel better.
A box of 18 bottles cost me $22.70, making these an excellent, budget-friendly choice.
These budget-friendly Chomps beef sticks quickly became one of my go-to snacks.

Chomps grass-fed beef sticks are easy to enjoy when I’m at work or heading home from the gym.
Each stick is packed with 10 grams of protein, 100 calories, and a mild kick, making them a tasty, protein-packed option. A bag of 12 cost me $17.
Liquid IV makes staying hydrated more exciting.

Hydration is an important aspect of weight loss, but sometimes, I can get bored of plain water. So, I like to use a Liquid IV electrolyte mix to add some flavor.
A pack of 30 sticks cost me $33, which I think is a great deal. Plus, drinking more water throughout the day helps me stay fuller — and less likely to snack.
Kirkland Signature sous vide egg bites are my favorite way to start the day.

When I need a quick breakfast option before going to work, I usually have these incredible Kirkland Signature egg bites.
Between the bacon and Gouda, these are loaded with crunch, protein, and flavor.
At $14.30 for five servings, I think they’re a great deal, too.
The Genius Gourmet sparkling protein drinks make it easy to avoid soda.

One of my new favorite beverages is the Genius Gourmet sparkling blue-raspberry lemonade. Each can contains 30 grams of protein and 130 calories.
At $32.90 for 15 cans, I think it’s a fair price, and makes staying away from soda feel much easier.
