Chris Cuomo, Bill O’Reilly get into shouting match over Iran’s nuclear capacity: ‘It’s my show, pal!’

Chris Cuomo and Bill O’Reilly got swept up in a finger-pointing shouting match as the on-air talk between the two veteran journalists derailed into a vicious argument over Iran’s nuclear capacity.

During his eponymous show on NewsNation Wednesday night, Cuomo brought on the conservative commentator to discuss the ongoing Iran war, Operation Epic Fury and the key points of the fragile cease-fire.

However, the interview quickly imploded.

“Keep quiet for a second,” O’Reilly told Cuomo before being cut off by the host.

“No, it’s my show, pal, and if you don’t like it, you can go,” Cuomo snapped.

The two pundits were debating Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s suggestion earlier in the day that the US knows exactly how far along Iran has come in producing nuclear weapons.

During the discussion, O’Reilly brought up a quote by International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Rafael Grossi during an interview with CBS News’ Margaret Brennan last month.

Grossi shared the probability that Iran had obtained 60% enriched uranium, a dangerous milestone as Tehran aims to get to 90% enrichment needed for deadly nuclear weapons.

“The director, Rafael Grossi on March 22 of this year, made it very clear that he believes the enriched uranium in Iran stands at 60%. So why would he say that,” O’Reilly asked.

Cuomo: Just say you were corrected and let’s move on. O’Reilly: I’m not going to say that because it wouldn’t be true. You made the mistake. Cuomo: No, I did not make a mistake. O’Reilly: Keep quiet Cuomo: No, it’s my show pal. You don’t like it? You can go. pic.twitter.com/yElP5EV6UT

Cuomo shot down his guest’s point, suggesting O’Reilly had taken it out of context as he had allegedly done during his own show the previous night, holding up Grossi’s transcript on his phone.

“That’s not exactly what he said,” Cuomo rebuked. “What did you think I’m just gonna let you take it out of context, like you did on your show last night. Not here. Here we’re gonna give you the context.”

O’Reilly clapped back, saying he didn’t take Grossi’s quote out of context and doubled down on what he took from the interview.

“You can believe what you want to believe, but I believe in his words,” O’Reilly said as Cuomo interupted.

“No, no, no, no just say, ‘I’m corrected, let’s move on,’ and let’s move on, there’s more to talk about,” the frustrated host said.

O’Reilly attempted to counter Cuomo’s argument, claiming the version of the quote was incorrect but again was interrupted by the former CNN host.

“Keep quiet for a second,” O’Reilly shouted.

“No, it’s my show, pal, and if you don’t like it, you can go,” Cuomo said loudly.

“You don’t want me to read your quote because it’s gonna make you look foolish,” O’Reilly furiously retorted, pointing at the camera.

“Read it. Read it, and don’t point. Don’t be a big mouth,” Cuomo seethed.

“Margaret Brennan, this is a quote that Grassi gave her. ‘One, most notably, the inventory of enriched uranium at 60%, which is very much close to the degree you need to make a bomb.’ That’s what the man said. Now, where did he get the information?” O’Reilly asked, as the two newsmen seemed to find the first point to agree on.

“First of all, that’s a good question, I’ll give you that one. That one’s not some hand-fisted, opportunistic judgment.”

Cuomo argued that the assessment from both Rossi and Hegseth should be taken cautiously, as no independent organization has been able to verify and assess Iran’s uranium stockpile in over five years.

“He says they still have their own surveillance mechanisms, it’s just been broken down over time, and that they haven’t had any real eyes on the situation for years. Which is why no one really knows, Bill. I know they have things, we just don’t know how much. And it doesn’t really matter because they’re saying they won’t stop,” Cuomo argued.

“If you have any shred of logic left. If Iran didn’t have uranium enriched to 60%, why wouldn’t they let weapons inspectors in?” O’Reilly posed.

“Oh, listen. They didn’t let weapons inspectors in before they had 60%, because they are a bunch of psycho zealots that want to destroy everyone they can. They are liars and cheaters,” Cuomo said.

“They hate their own people. They are terrible people. They don’t love their country, they don’t love their people, it’s all expendable. These are terrorists, Bill,” he said.

Cuomo and O’Reilly continued to trade jabs, with the NewsNation anchor calling his guest “Mr. No Spin” and “Mr. Accuracy” before admitting he doesn’t trust Hegseth and rather listens to his intelligence sources in the Middle East.
