Iranian Parliament Speaker MB Ghalibaf declared the ceasefire and upcoming negotiations as “unreasonable” after accusing the United States of violating Iran’s 10-point peace proposal.
Ghalibaf cited three specific violations on X, Israeli attacks on Lebanon, an alleged drone intrusion into Iranian airspace, and U.S. denial of Iran’s nuclear enrichment rights.
Trump disputed that Lebanon was part of the ceasefire agreement and denied accepting Iran’s 10-point plan as a negotiating framework. Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz again after Israeli strikes in Lebanon.
Ghalibaf took to X, accusing Trump of calling Iran’s proposal a “workable basis on which to negotiate,” but the violations undermined that foundation. Ghalibaf concluded that with the framework already breached before negotiations began, bilateral ceasefire discussions were unjustifiable.
