The rapper Offset was injured in a shooting on Monday evening outside a casino in Hollywood, Fla., his representative said.
The Seminole Police Department said in a statement that a shooting occurred after 7 p.m. in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Two people were detained and a third person sustained non-life threatening injuries, it said.
The police did not name any of the three people. But Nathalie Moar, a spokeswoman for Offset, said in an email that he was the injured person. He was in stable condition at a hospital, she said.
The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear. The police said they were investigating.
Offset is the stage name of Kiari Kendrell Cephus, 34, a rapper rose to prominence as part of Migos, a chart-topping trio that defined a new era of Atlanta rap. He married the rapper Cardi B, with whom he shares three children, in 2017. She filed for divorce in 2024.
In 2022, another member of Migos, the rapper Takeoff, was shot dead outside a bowling alley in Houston. The police said Takeoff had been a bystander at a private party where an argument led to gunfire.
A man, Patrick Xavier Clark, was later arrested in Houston and charged with his murder. He is set to face trial later this year.
