Video shows accused bomb fiend hurling device in NY street days before arrest

Disturbing video shows the moment an accused explosive fiend lit and hurled a device toward a neighbor’s home — just days before dozens of pipe bombs were found stashed in his suburban New York apartment.

Raymond Elders, 65, had black and blue residue on his hands and was clutching a lighter when he was arrested on Monday in White Plains after allegedly terrorizing his neighbors for weeks with a spate of explosives, authorities said.

In one brazen ordeal, Elders was allegedly busted on a doorbell camera tossing an apparent explosive at a home back on May 18 in broad daylight, CBS News reported.

A huge explosion rang out as the alleged perp scurried away and tried to shield his face with his hooded sweatshirt, the clip shows.

Elders’ arrest came after neighbors on his quiet, tree-lined block repeatedly complained about hearing a series of thunderous booms — initially believed to be a possible transformer explosion — for several weeks.

Police were called to the area after the latest powerful boom shook the neighborhood at about 4:30 a.m. Cops zeroed in on Elders after allegedly spotting a mysterious explosive device near his doorway.

At least 25 complete pipe bombs and explosive-making materials were found stashed inside his apartment, authorities allege.

Authorities haven’t released a motive — but it is believed to be tied to a neighbor dispute, WABC reported.
