Darren Indyke, Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyer and co-executor of his estate, testified behind closed doors to the House Oversight Committee on Thursday, denying involvement in Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme and claiming complete ignorance of the financier’s crimes.
Indyke stated no victim has ever accused him of sexual abuse or witnessing abuse, nor reported allegations to him. He characterized his role as providing corporate, transactional, and legal services to Epstein and his companies.
Indyke denied organizing “sham marriages” for women involved with Epstein, as alleged in a U.S. Virgin Islands government complaint. He claimed he was unaware of Epstein’s private conduct, stating he cooperated with the DOJ and helped establish the Epstein Victims’ Compensation Program after his 2019 appointment as co-executor.
The House Oversight Committee continues holding private hearings on Epstein files, with Attorney General Pam Bondi scheduled to testify on April 14 on the DOJ’s handling and compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
