Iconic singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka’s cause of death revealed

Neil Sedaka, the legendary singer who passed away in Los Angelesin February, died of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

The death certificate, which was obtained by The Post, stated kidney failure also contributed to his death.

The certificate revealed he was embalmed at the Hollywood Funeral home and buried at Beth Olam Cemetery in LA on March 3.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease is caused by the build up of plaque — which can consist of fats, cholesterol and other substances — in artery walls, narrowing them and restricting blood flow. Complications can include a heart attack or stroke
