On Monday, President Trump claimed that he recently spoke with a former U.S. president who expressed regrets that he hadn’t done what Trump has in Iran. When asked, he said it wasn’t George W. Bush. People close to the other three living former presidents — Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joseph R. Biden Jr. — denied any such conversation had occurred.
