MAGA actor James Woods issued a sharp rebuke to conspiracy theorist Alex Jones after being misrepresented as aligning with far-right figure Nick Fuentes on Republican Party issues.
Jones claimed that Woods “agrees with Nick Fuentes that it is time to leave the GOP Party” following Senator Thune’s failure to pass the SAVE Act and House Republicans’ alleged efforts to suppress details about an $18 million taxpayer fund allegedly used to hide sexual harassment claims.
Woods categorically denied the assertion, calling Jones’ characterization “misleading.”
“I don’t ‘agree’ with Nick Fuentes about anything,” Woods stated. “I’ve never talked with Nick Fuentes, nor did I know who he was until you stated that I ‘agree’ with him.”
The actor emphasized the severity of the misrepresentation, adding: “Now that I know who he is, nothing could be further from the truth.”
Woods publicly requested that Jones correct the record, writing: “Please take the time to clarify this at your convenience.”
The incident highlights how misinformation spreads rapidly through partisan media figures, with false attributions being used to manufacture political consensus among celebrities and public figures—a tactic Woods firmly rejected.
