Flyer shocked to see pilot doing this when she caught a glimpse into the cockpit

Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.

It’s oftentimes a mystery what goes on in a plane‘s cockpit.

One flyer accidentally listened in on wild chatter between a United Airlines pilot and a copilot that consisted of everything from their lives, kids, terrain the plane was flying over with a few curse words thrown in while on a recent flight.

Another flyer caught a glimpse into the prohibited area, in which she saw a pilot getting a little too comfortable while flying the plane.

A plane passenger named Amy (@amyintheocean) shared on TikTok a 7-second clip, which has now garnered over 1 million views, of her on a flight to the Maldives where her pilot was flying the plane barefoot.

The Post reached out to the content creator for comment.

Text overlay on the short video read, “When you’re on a flight to the Maldives & realize your pilots don’t even have shoes.”

The passenger might’ve been flying in a seaplane, which are generally much smaller than traditional aircrafts, which might explain why the door to the cockpit was open for everyone to see in.

But according to the hundreds of comments under the video, as long as the plane landed safely, it doesn’t seem to matter what the pilot was — or wasn’t — wearing.

“Mate he’s flying the plane — not walking it — shoes are not required,” one commenter jokingly wrote.

“It’s probably easier to grip the pedals that way I would trust him,” read a comment.

“That’s how you know you’re in the fun zone,” someone else joked.

“I’d trust him with my life,” quipped another person.

“Hey the way I see it, he’s the one with the pilots license so as long as he keeps us in the air he could be wearing a Spider-Man suit for all I care,” a comment pointed out.

As cooky as this is, what a pilot is wearing flying a plane might be the least of passenger’s worries, as United Airlines is cracking down on one of its policies.

The airline recently announcedthat flyers who listen to electronic devices on full blast without headphones could get kicked off a flight or worse — banned from flying with the airline.

“We’ve always encouraged customers to use headphones when listening to audio content — and our Wi-Fi rules already remind customers to use headphones,” a United spokesperson told The Post in an email.
