‘RHOBH’ newbie Amanda Frances gets real about Dorit Kemsley feud, ‘Selling Sunset’ drama and more

Amanda Frances didn’t expect to be the talk of Beverly Hills, but the manifestation coach is certainly delivering the drama.

In a new interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” rookie opens up about her rocky initiation into the group and her reality TV past.

From clearing up her infamous “Selling Sunset” cameo to defending her personal development business against her castmates, here are the biggest takeaways from Frances’ candid interview.

Kyle Richards’ advice and Dorit Kemsley’s “initiation“

Frances revealed that veteran “RHOBH” cast member Kyle Richards gave her some blunt advice about reality TV during their first time filming together.

According to Frances, Richards told her, “Hey, everyone here knows this is the job everyone knows we have to talk bad about each other.”

Frances felt her questioning of the other women was “benign,” but it still led to friction with another “Housewife” — Dorit Kemsley — over four consecutive dinners.

Frances suspects the prolonged drama was intentional, noting she felt there was an “initiation process of sorts” because she was the new girl.

“She didn’t want me to have an easy time growing into the group, at least that’s how it feels to me,” Frances said of Kemsley, adding she still hasn’t received an apology.

The truth about Erika Jayne and the “cult”

Frances did manage to form a genuine connection with Erika Jayne, whom she said is “really sweet off camera.”

The Bravo newcomer praised Jayne for giving her a fair platform to discuss her alleged “cult” past without judgment.

Frances laughed off the scandal, pointing out that the “dirt” the other women dug up was actually just tidbits from her very first blog post.

“It’s my very first blog it’s still on my website to this day,” she explained, wondering why her castmates didn’t simply ask her about it instead of treating it as an accusation.

Defending her business

Frances was also surprised that “RHOBH” cast member Bozoma Saint John took her side during private lunches but threw shade in confessionals, even claiming Frances got wealthy by “taking money” from others.

Frances — aka the “Money Queen” who operates an online money manifestation business — swiftly shut down the critique, arguing that she doesn’t decide how autonomous adults spend their earnings.

Clearing up “Selling Sunset” drama

Before she was holding a diamond on Bravo, Frances made a brief-but-memorable appearance on Netflix’s “Selling Sunset” alongside real estate agent Davina Potratz.

The scene, which showed Frances and Potratz having a tense conversation about a real estate deal, resurfaced on TikTok when Frances joined “Beverly Hills” — leaving many fans to speculate negatively about their relationship.

However, Frances insists the reality of the transaction was manipulated, revealing she had actually fired Potratz over six months before filming their final scene together. On the show, it was depicted as though Frances cruelly terminated Potratz on the spot.

According to the entrepreneur, she came back to film the scene as a courtesy to Potratz since “Selling Sunset” producers felt it was imperative to close the narrative on their real estate dealings.

By the time they filmed the kitchen sit-down, Frances’ house had already been sold. She claims Potratz cared more about reality TV and getting a selfie in her “leased” Chanel outfit than being a helpful agent.

“I don’t think the producers on ‘Housewives’ would like set me up by lying to me that way,” she told “VRT.”

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
