Late model Annabel Schofield revealed she wasn’t ‘out of the woods’ with cancer battle in heartbreaking final post

Annabel Schofield revealed she wasn’t “out of the woods” with her cancer battle in a heartbreaking final post.

Taking to Instagram on Jan. 20, a month before her death, she addressed her “dear friends and followers” to give them “the latest developments especially [about her] recent surgery.”

“It was very exciting to finally get this done but I’m not out of the woods yet. I’m very wobbly and now waiting to find out if I need more chemo or radiation,” the “Dallas” actress captioned a close-up selfie photo.

“I swear it never seems to end. Hopefully this week’s MRI will reveal a nice clear image.”

Schofield then directed people to the GoFundMe link in her bio, noting that “every donation helps, no matter how big or small.”

“I’m really tired of asking for help but I have no choice until I can get back to work. Much love to everyone that has helped so far. Everything is appreciated ❤,” she concluded her post, which turned out to be her last.

That same day, she shared an update on her GoFundMe page — which had raised $34,898 out of the asking $40,000 — detailing that she had gotten a “large mass in [her] nasal cavity” removed.

After her ENT doctor noticed that the mass had grown 5 centimeters, he asked her to go to the hospital the next for “emergency surgery” — which left her “terrified.”

After waking up in the ICU with a “very bloody stuffy nose,” she was sent home the following day with “only Motrin and Tylenol to manage pain.”

The model-turned-actress detailed a friend looking after her for three days, “which was wonderful.” However, when she was left alone, she explained feeling “still pretty wobbly and weak.”

At the time, Schoffield was set to get another scan to “see if all the cancer has been removed” and was hopeful she had “finally passed the last hurdle and can soon return to normal, fruitful life.”

On Tuesday, the Hollywood Reporter reported that Schofield had died on Feb. 28 in Los Angeles.

At the time, she had been battling with cancer, which had been diagnosed three years prior and ultimately spread to her brain. She was 62.

Melissa Richardson, the owner of the Take Two Agency — the firm that represented Schofield early in her career — has led the tributes.

“She never changed from the sweet little 17-year-old Welsh girl I first met,” she said. “She was directly loyal, caring, and above all, a raging beauty. She knew her craft. She was the best.”
