An Israeli woman died and at least 20 others were injured after an Iranian ballistic missile slammed into Tel Aviv Saturday after the Islamic Republic targeted civilians across the region in response to attacks by the US and Israel.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was critically injured in the missile attack, and later died from her injuries, the Times of Israel reported.
It is the first death in Israel to be announced since the war with Iran began on Saturday morning.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service also said that a man in his 40s was in serious condition, a woman in her 90s was in moderate condition, a man in his 30s was in moderate condition, and 17 others were lightly hurt from the missile attack, according to the outlet.
The fatal Iranian missile attack in Tel Aviv came after central Israel was targeted by Iranian attack, damaging buildings and setting fires.
Iran also attacked its Arab neighbors in the gulf in response to the US and Israeli bombardment.
