Dubai International Airport rocked by Iranian counterstrike following US-Israeli attacks

Dubai International Airport was struck during a counterstrike from the Islamic Republic Saturday, Emirati authorities have confirmed.

One of the concourses was damaged, and four airport staff were injured, the Government of Dubai’s Media Office said.

Images and video on social media show debris and thick smoke filling the air, as crowds of people are seen hurriedly walking toward the same direction.

Dubai is the largest international hub in the Middle East, receiving 95 million passengers in 2025.

This morning the airport announced it was suspended all flights until further notice, due to the partial closure of the airspace of the United Arab Emirates in light of the military action.

The Islamic Republic launched a barrage of missiles on US military bases and targets in Saudia Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE and Jordan Saturday — in retaliation for US and Israel airstrikes against Tehran.
