Harrowing video captures California cops catching toddler, dog tossed off balcony during massive apartment fire

California cops made a miraculous caught-on-camera save, catching a toddler and a dog who were desperately thrown off the balcony of an apartment building “engulfed” in flames, heart-wrenching video showed.

Dispatchers received a frantic call around 3:15 p.m. Saturday as an apartment building was ablaze in Milpitas — and quickly spreading — leaving panicked tenants trapped on a second-story patio, according to the Milpitas Police Department.

Two officers arrived in “less than two minutes” to the scene only to discover the building had become “completely engulfed” in flames. The cops, in turn, quickly hatched a rescue plan to save the family from the balcony, police said.

Chilling footage captured them rushing to the building and calling out for the trapped family to drop their child, 3, and dog off the balcony.

“Where’s the baby? Throw her! Throw her!. … I got her, I got her!” one officer can be heard shouting on video.

The toddler was instantly tossed off the terrace — and precariously into the arms of a cop — as the family’s screams are heard from above, according to the clip released by authorities.

Moments later, a small white dog is sent spiraling off the patio — appearing to nearly miss the cradled hands, the footage showed.

Milpitas firefighters safely evacuated the remaining tenants trapped. No injuries were reported during the incident, police said.

“We are incredibly thankful for the calm and courage shown by the residents during such a terrifying moment, and for the seamless teamwork between our dispatchers, officers, and fire personnel,” cops said in a statement.
