White House loses it as lawmaker demands cognitive test from Trump’s doctor: ‘Stupid!’

The White House is lashing out at Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) after he sent a letter to President Donald Trump’s doctor demanding he submit to cognitive screening, according to MS NOW’s Mychael Schnell.

“Lightweight Jamie Raskin is a stupid person’s idea of a smart person,” stated White House spokesperson Davis Ingle. “President Trump’s sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the past four years when Democrats like Raskin intentionally covered up Joe Biden’s serious mental and physical decline from the American people.”

This follows a letter sent by Raskin, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, to Cpt. Sean Barbabella, the White House physician, expressing concern that Trump’s erratic behavior surrounding the Iran war could be a sign of mental decline — and citing concerns from some of Trump’s former allies, including former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) that he has “gone insane,” as well as concerns from Rep. James Comer (R-KY) about former President Joe Biden’s mental fitness.

“Experts have repeatedly warned that the President has been exhibiting signs consistent with dementia and cognitive decline,” wrote Raskin. “And, in recent days, the country has watched President Trump’s public statements and outbursts turn increasingly incoherent, volatile, profane, deranged, and threatening. His apparently deteriorating condition has caused tremendous alarm across the nation (and political spectrum) about the President’s cognitive function and continuing mental fitness for the office of President, and prompted concerns about the President’s well-being.”

“On October 2025, you issued a statement declaring that the President ‘continues to demonstrate excellent overall health,’” wrote Raskin. “In light of the President’s extreme behavior over the past week to say nothing of his conduct in office more broadly-the public must know whether you still stand by that assessment. As Republican congressional leaders have repeatedly said, the American people deserve to know whether our President is mentally capable of making the life- or-death decisions that his office demands.”

Trump has denied any issues with his mental acuity, repeatedly insisting that he has “aced” the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) — even though passage of this test does not rule out mental decline.
