‘SNL’ star Chloe Fineman under fire for controversial job confession as Vanity Fair does damage control

“Saturday Night Live” star Chloe Fineman is facing backlash for a wild story she told in a Vanity Fair video that has since been edited by the publication.

The March 31 video, titled “SNL’ Cast Test How Well They Know Each Other,” begins with Fineman asking her co-stars Mikey Day, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla, Jane Wickline and James Austin Johnson if they know what job she was fired from and rehired by when she was 16, and why.

The comedians threw out multiple guesses including that she made a racially insensitive comment and was let go from a restaurant or retail job.

But Fineman, 37, revealed that she “was fired as a camp counselor.”

When Day, 46, asked Fineman if she was “hitting on the campers,” she clarified, “No. I pantsed a boy.”

“He would lift my shirt all the time,” Fineman explained. “It was a different time. He would be like, ‘Hey, could I have a hug?’ And then I’d go to hug him and he’d lift my shirt, like a d–k. And then I was like, ‘I’m going to get back at you.’’”

Fineman continued, “And so we were on a hike and I was like, ‘Hey, Ollie, go look over there. It’s a hawk.’ He looked and then I yanked his pants down, and then I was fired.”

According to Variety, Vanity Fair edited out several bits and pieces from Fineman’s story, including when she said that the boy was 6 years old.

Fineman also told her co-stars in the original video that the camper’s “ding-a-ling was out,” to which Padilla replied, “Oh, honey, I think you’re on a list somewhere.”

“He wasn’t wearing underpants, and then a giant school bus drove by,” Fineman also said in the original video.

In the YouTube comments, fans scrutinized Fineman for her story.

“Chloe doing her funny voice while she describes exposing a child’s genitals was quite upsetting,” one fan wrote.

“I’m not sure why in this current climate, Chloe thought that would be a funny story to share or why VF would air it,” another fan said.

A third person wrote, “That was a really bad story to put out there and to be so open about the kiddo.”

“ok so chloe fineman just publicly admitted to exposing a 6 year old’s genitals and we’re just gonna brush it off?” a different fan said.

Page Six has reached out to Vanity Fair and Fineman’s rep for comment.
