Johnny Depp steps out for rare LA appearance at star-studded launch of his booze brand

Johnny Depp made a rare return to the Los Angeles spotlight, hitting the red carpet not for a movie premiere — but to celebrate his new rum brand.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star unveiled the new booze, Three Hearts, with a lively Tuesday night bash at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, attracting a crowd of rock legends and other A-listers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler hosted the festivities and took the stage with Depp’s band, Hollywood Vampires, Matteo Bocelli, the son of the legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, also performed.

The star-studded guest list included Grammy winner Beck, Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Homme and legendary movie producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Rarely seen on red carpets these days, Depp posed for photos and mingled with guests, marking the debut of his Caribbean rum brand with business partner Bobby DeLeon.

For years, Depp and DeLeon considered creating something to celebrate their friendship and pay tribute to the rich heritage of Caribbean rum, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

That vision took shape after hurricanes devastated several Caribbean islands, pushing them to find ways to shine a light on local communities.

Depp crafted the bottle’s design himself, infusing it with symbols from his tattoos, personal beliefs and family, including nods to his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis and their children, Lily-Rose and Jack Depp, per the outlet.

The bottle proudly bears the flag of Depp’s private Bahamian island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay.

“Rum holds the history of the islands,” Depp said in an official statement.

“It’s shaped by the hands of the people who grow the cane, ferment the spirit, and age it over time. Bobby and I wanted to create something that honored that tradition and the friendships that inspired it.”
