Vice President JD Vance faced backlash online after encouraging people to pre-order his new Christian book.
“I’ve been writing this book for a long time, and I’m honored to finally be able to share the full story with you all,” Vance explained in a social media post on Tuesday. “Communion is about my personal journey and how I found my way back to faith.”
“It will be available in June, but you can pre-order today,” he added.
Vance’s followers quickly panned him for having a side job while in office.
“You need to resign,” one person insisted.
“A ‘personal journey’… or just another book cashing in on religion?” X user Victoria Zeev asked.
“Cool. Get our troops out of Iran and stop sucking up to Israel please,” a self-described libertarian named Mathias said.
“Grift grift grift,” another commenter observed. “You’ll never be president lmao.”
“Focus!!! End this war!!! It’s a bit more important than promoting your book right now, no?” Aileene Herro said of the war in Iran.
