The clip caught an officer with Pee Dee Academy in Marion County grabbing a teenage student baseball player in a chokehold while appearing to brandish a Taser at a surrounding crowd of angry parents.

He then cracks the student in the side of the head with butt of the Taser – causing the student to wince in pain.
“What the f—k’s wrong with you?” crowd members shout as the officer backs away, his arm still around the student’s neck.
“You just lost your job, homie,” someone else says.
“You gonna lose your pension over that one, honey,” another parent jeers.

The crowd then urges the boy to get to his knees to calm down the officer, who then raged “Where’s the other fella at?”
It remains unclear what led to the incident, but the student was apparently from the team of the school playing against the private Pee Dee Academy.

He could be seen rubbing the side of his head as the altercation cooled down, and parents continued trying to de-escalate the situation.
The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the incident, according to ABC 15 News.
“We have turned the matter over to SLED for investigation. The deputy in question has been reassigned pending SLED’s investigation,” the Marion County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet.
