How many car crashes has Tiger Woods been in? His troubled history on the road

Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover car crashin Jupiter Island, Fla., on Friday.

The golf legend was arrested and charged with DUI, authorities revealed in a press conference shortly after news broke.

“Woods showed signs of impairment and refused a urinalysis test, leading to charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test,” Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek explained.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Woods has been involved in a car crash. Page Six is breaking down all of the athlete’s previous incidents.

November 2009: Crashes into neighbors’ yard

Often regarded as the athlete’s most infamous crash, Woods smashed up his Cadillac Escalade when he slammed into a neighbor’s tree outside his Isleworth, Windermere, Fla., home, The Post confirmed at the time.

Woods was knocked unconscious in the wreck and later rescued by his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren.

Once EMS arrived on the scene, they found a snoring Woods without any socks or shoes on.

It was later revealed that he was under the influence of sleeping pills while he was behind the wheel.

The intense scrutiny Woods received for the accident subsequently revealed a series of Woods’ infidelities during his marriage to Nordegren and led to their 2010 divorce.

He later made a heartfelt statement apologizing for his cheating and checked into a facility that specializes in sex addiction.

May 2017: DUI arrest

Following the first accident, Woods worked hard to clean up his image and build up his tarnished career — but he lost all that progress in May 2017 when he was busted for a DUIin Jupiter, Fla.

At the time, cops found him passed out behind the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz.

To make matters worse, the 82-time PGA winner appeared scruffy and bleary-eyed in his mugshot that quickly went viral on social media.

Tests showed Woods had Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien and THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, in his system and police said it appeared he’d been in a minor car accident before they found him.

Soon after his arrest, he announced he was seeking “professional help”to “manage” his medications that he claims he took for back pain and a sleep disorder.

Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving in a deal to avoid conviction for DUI, and was sentenced to one year of probation and a $250 fine.

February 2021: Near-fatal crash in Los Angeles

In February 2021, Woods almost lost his life following a high-speed, single-car crashnear Los Angeles that caused multiple fractures in his legs, requiring immediate surgery.

He was speeding his Genesis GV80 SUV on the outskirts of LA when he lost control and careened off the road. The car — traveling at nearly twice the 45 mph speed limit — plowed into a tree and flipped several times.

He was conscious and alert as he was pulled out through the front windshield of a badly damaged luxury SUV following the wreck.

“It was very fortunate that Mr. Woods was able to come out of this alive,” Deputy Carlos Gonzalez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, who was first on the scene, said at the time.

The severe accident left Woods with “serious” injuries included a shattered ankle and two leg fractures.

The airbags deployed and the inside of the car stayed basically intact, “giving [Woods] the cushion to survive what would have otherwise been a fatal crash,” Villanueva said.

He never made a full physical recovery and was left with life-altering injuries to his right leg, resulting in permanent mobility limitations and chronic pain.

March 2026: Crash in Florida

In his most recent wreck, Woods was involved in another rollover car crash in Jupiter Island, Fla.

The crash reportedly took place just after 2 p.m. local time near 281 Beach Road.

According to authorities, Woods was driving a “dark colored Land Rover” when he attempted to pass a utility pressure cleaner truck, allegedly clipping the “back end” of the truck’s trailer, at which point it rolled.

A source told Page Six that neither Vanessa Trump, whom Woods has been dating, nor her children were in the car during the accident.

However, it is unclear if Woods was alone in the vehicle.

The five-time Masters champion appeared “OK” at the scene, a witness told TMZ.

No one involved was thought to be seriously injured.
