Ten American servicemembers were wounded Friday after an Iranian strike hit a key Saudi airbase, according to multiple U.S. and Arab officials.
At least one missile struck Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, injuring 10 U.S. troops – including two who officials said were seriously wounded, The Wall Street Journal reported. The servicemembers were inside a building on the base at the time of the attack.
The strike also damaged several U.S. refueling aircraft and involved additional unmanned aerial vehicles, officials familiar with the attack told the Journal.
The incident marks at least the second time the base has been targeted during the ongoing conflict with Iran. An earlier strike damaged multiple refueling aircraft, according to multiple reports.
